I chose to design this logo the way I did because I think it is a great logo for an important day of the year, Earth Day. I think that this logo could help spread awareness and teach people and help them realize that we only have one earth, and if we keep treating it the way we are, we will destroy that earth and our one and only home. It is a simple logo that could make a big impact, and it kind of has a cartoon feel to it so it can be a logo for both children and adults. I chose to make the earth because it was pretty easy to make the perfect circle shape in photoshop. It was a little more difficult to make the continents on the earth but in the end, I think the earth I made looks pretty good. I think the banner was a nice touch and it was also easy to make because I knew how to make it from the illustrator tutorial. It looks really well with the arch above the earth.
I have a lot of cool ideas that I could add to my future draft it would just take a little more work and time. This draft is a good start though, and for its simplicity, it looks great. This logo can also be used for a good cause, to help spread awareness about the earth. I did not use any online pictures or anyone else’s work for this draft, I completed it entirely from the image I saw in my head so I don’t need to include any credit from other creators or authors. I am aware that I might need to add a little more to the logo but I think it’s a good starting point and has a solid foundation to grow off of.

I really enjoy the idea of the logo. I think that it is a great idea for the world and the environment. I love the use of the banner at the top of the logo informing the viewers what it is all about. I do not know if this was intentional, but this Earth day logo looks like a lot of the logos out there and it fits well. The design is simple and easy to understand which is what I enjoy. I have a couple of suggestions that could work with the design as well. If time was taken to create the actual continents of the world it would look more realistic instead of a cartoon world. Also, if the banner was symmetrical around the world and wrapped around it, would look so much better. Other than that, I can not wait to see what the end product will be.

Hi Bridger, I think the idea for your logo is really cool! I like that you stuck with two colors, blue and green because I think when most people think about a picture or the earth they think about it being green and blue. I like the banner you used, I think it’s spaced out perfectly between the earth. I can’t exactly tell if you kept the outline as black for the banner, but if you did, I think you should try out blue or dark green to see how that looks to maybe blend with the colors you have picked better. Another thing I would say to do is to make the shapes of the world a little bit more clear than it is right now. I can tell that it is the earth; however, It would look better if the shapes were drawn more to scale just so that it looks more precise and cleaner.
