The Life of Bugs Final Video

For the final draft for this video, I designed it after the Planet Earth videos. I thought it was a cool idea since my topic is nature and I have always loved shows like that. I also thought it was unique and I could not picture other members of the class doing a video like this, so I thought why don’t I do it? At first, I thought I was going to have narration in the back, but I recorded myself talking but I liked the video with music better instead of my voice. On my first draft, I didn’t have any audio, but after the group feedback assignment, I looked over the comments from my group and a couple of them said that I should add music. So I added the music and I am really glad on how my final video turned out. I found the music on creativecommons.org from fugue music, so I knew it was okay to use and I wasn’t breaking any copyright rules.

I think that I did a good job getting footage of the bugs. Finding bugs is more complicated than I thought, and I am very glad about the footage I captured for this video. I recorded the footage from my iPhone 10, which has a great camera. I think the quality of footage is more important than the quantity and I would take nice clear footage over more footage with not as good quality, any day. When editing this video, premiere was pretty simple to use. I used the razor tool to cut clips shorter and put them where they fit. When coming up with the title of this video, the movie A Bugs Life had a major influence on my decision. I was kind of doing a realistic video of that movie and I thought The Life of Bugs was a great and fitting title. Overall, I am extremely proud about how this video turned out and I hope everyone who watches it, enjoys it just as I did.
