Final Audio Mixdown

For my final audio mixdown I got my idea form my topic. My idea was to do an interview about nature, but I didn’t know what to do at first. What would I talk about? so I went over my options and I finally decided on pollution. I chose pollution because it is a big problem in the world we live in today and I thought it would be a good idea to talk about it in the interview. I love watching nature shows and they always talk about how pollution is killing the environments of all sorts of species and I’m a big snorkeling fan and it makes me sad to see coral reefs destroyed. So, I decided to interview my friend Austin on the topic. I came up with the questions I wanted to ask and we recorded with an app on my phone. I uploaded everything on audition and then edited them all into place and erased some mistakes. Once we did group feedback, I realized I should have added something more besides our voices, so I added a little bit of sound that I found on a free to use website on creativecommons.org, so I didn’t break any copyright rules. It sounded so much better with the extra sounds at the beginning and the end and made it that much more fluent. After I edited in the sounds, I cut the clip to my wants and also cut out a mistake that I didn’t catch in the draft before. I am very happy on how my interview turned out and I hope that it helps people realize that pollution is a real problem and that we need to change our ways or our world will die, and if our world dies, so does humanity and all the beautiful creatures that live on it.
